Free bunting for all

To celebrate our 7th birthday we’ve made a beautiful printable for you to make and use at home, either for celebrations, as gifts, or decorations for the home.

All you’ll need: string, a hole punch and some scissors.

Print out this floral bunting by clicking on the link below.

You’ll find the first few pages are the letters ‘happy birthday’. If you would like to create your own personalised message, I’ve designed the whole alphabet, so print out the letters you need for whatever phrase you would like to create.

Print onto paper or thin card, then cut out the flags.

Hole punch or use scissors to make teeny holes in the top corners.

Thread the flags along the string (in the right order) and there you have it.

To add some va va voom, before making holes, you could mount these flags onto different coloured card or paper.

Use the bunting for a wall, along the edge of a table or along a curtain pole. Keep somewhere safe and flat, and reuse again and again!

Credit: I used a stunning photo taken by Georgia de Lotz to create this bunting. Thank you Georgia! 🙂

Rustic Barn Wedding Inspiration

Need a little inspiration for your rustic barn wedding?

Our latest adventure took us to the Great Barn . Tucked away in Ruislip, West London, stands a magnificent venue you would never know was there. We had the pleasure of designing and decorating the space for two sweethearts who were having the ceremony and celebration inside the barn. They wanted a rustic barn wedding and we had just the answer.

Welcome the decor…

Guests were welcomed to the venue with a floral fairy lit ladder, set infront of a  backdrop of hanging jars full of baby buds of gypsophila and LED candles.

One half of the rustic barn we set up for the ceremony using our lace and hessian chair ties. We created eight trees sprinkled with a frosting of fairy lights pinned to each of the beams of the barn. Overlooking the vows from up high were white lanterns strung across the beams.

As the bride entered the aisle she was greeted by an uber cute personalised chalk board and two picket fences. Our hessian fairy lit heart was at the focal point at the front of the aisle with vintage sacks and buckets lining the registry table. Each chair down the aisle also had a stem of gypsophila poking its head out of the chair tie.

Fast forward to the celebration, afternoon tea was organised for each of the guests. Tables had a log, vase of gyp and numbers in the centre. Our personalised signpost proudly overlooked the party pointing to the four main facilities.

It was such a pleasure to put together all the pretty bits and pieces for the lovely couple. We were over the moon to hear they had a fabulous day surrounded by bespoke rustic barn wedding delicious-ness.

One Stunning Vintage Barn Wedding

A barn wedding is always such a privilege to decorate. Most of the time, the barns are so magnificent, it doesn’t need a lot to impress your guests! I love the look of the brown wood against the lace and white fabrics of the table cloths.

We recently helped the lovely Nicky & Oliver with their beautiful barn wedding. The venue looked stunning, we loved all of their great ideas they chose – my favourite was their table numbers.

Our hessian chair tie backs all behaved themselves adding a touch of vintage to the room. Take a look through some of the photos we shot.

A Beautiful Navy Wedding Adventure

If you love a navy wedding theme this one’s for you!

We had the opportunity to let our creative juices go to town by providing some handmade bespoke props for a beautiful wedding held in West London which had a navy wedding theme.

We both had a great time cutting, sticking and sewing, getting all the different props ready for Saturday morning. Then when everything was in place, we stopped, we looked around and I’m sure my hearty did a backflip with excitement – it looked beautiful.

We had our homemade picket fences standing proud at the front of the venue with a personalised chalk board – these always help add that bespoke feel to any event.

We designed the seating plan in line with their navy theme, adding a touch of romance with roses intertwined around the frame.

Advent calendar bunting

This super cute make has been welcomed into our collection… Advent calendar bunting! All the other props are glaring at this one in envy! Well if you’re going to count down the days to Christmas why not do it in style 🙂

Each flag has a little pocket to hold a mini sweet which you can enjoy each day leading up to Christmas (only if you can restrain your self not to eat them all at once!)

Christmas Vintage bunting for all

We’ve been cutting and sewing galore over the last few weeks getting a few new festive bespoke props ready to add to our vintage catalogue.

The first one I’d like to welcome is our Vintage Christmas bunting! Wooooo! Image

We’ve sewn three different flags to red (or green) tape – cream floral, red gingham and green polka dot. They’re all double sided, so ideal to hang across the room and can be admired from all directions!

Stay tuned for more ways to spruce up Christmas in your home 🙂ImageImageImageImage

Personalised hessian bunting

We had a busy weekend designing the beginning of our personalised bunting range. I always loved the thought of turning hessian into bunting, it’s such a vintage look.

We’re taking orders for weddings and events, available to purchase or if you’re trying to save pennies why not hire?! Message us for deets!

Little note for all you crafty readers – if you’re making yourself, be careful not to buy the cheapest hessian available (as tempting as it sounds) this tends to fray just by looking at it. Try to choose hessian which has been woven quite tight – it will make it easier to sew.

Love heart garland

Hearty’s doing somersaults right now! Loving our new Love Heart Garland 🙂

We bought a variety of material, cut out heart shapes, sewed around the edge, leaving a 2cm gap at the top and filled with stuffing. Embroidered the gap closed and used parcel string to sew them to thicker parcel string to hang them up. Super simple!

It’s very happy right now in front of the fire place making itself very comfy in its new home! We’ll be making these available to hire, they’re a great equivalent to bunting!
