With this kit you’ll learn all the skills you need to create your own handmade embroidery hoop.
Learning to do embroidery with this kit has been made easy thanks to the step by step instructions and YouTube videos available catering both learning styles. The video has been designed with a younger audience in mind, to really help simplify the process for them.
The stitches you’ll learn with this kit are straight stitch, back stitch, satin stitch, split stitch, chain stitch, french knot and lazy daisies.
Inspired as a child, Treasure Kave has designed this kit as she loved cross-stitching animals and has created a range of child-friendly animal themed embroidery kits.
This craft kit was tested by children aged 9+ and they all said how fun it was. Embroidery is also very therapeutic and reviews from parents on these range of kits have been encouraging to hear how relaxed and happy their child/teen was after doing this kit.
The kit makes a lovely gift for a new mum or to make up for a new babies nursery. Using the included stencil template it’s also possible to personalise with a message of your choice.
The kit includes:
- The giraffe design outline printed onto a cotton fabric
- DMC embroidery floss and Gutermann thread to stitch the felt pieces on
- 6 inch embroidery hoop
- 1 x size 3 embroidery needle and 4 x sewing pins
- Giraffe face felt pieces
- Felt fabric to back and finish hoop
- Ribbon to hang and finish the hoop off
- Printed pattern and a font template to be traced on for personalised message
- Your how to guide including how to get started, how to finish and top tips – all tested by embroidery beginners
- YouTube videos to help you along with each step and stitch (links provided on the how to guide)
Optional extras can be added to your kit including: A pair of Hemline rose gold coloured 2.5inch embroidery scissors or a bamboo display stand which is a lovely alternative to hanging your finished hoop on the wall.
