The time had come to get up to some crafty mischief again. My bank of homemade cards was running extremely low so instead of panicking about this major crisis, I came up with a genius solution to make some more!
I have a few people to thank and send some ‘thinking of you’ cards to via the British postal service… It always means more when a message arrives on a doormat rather than through a vibration on your mobile.
So I downloaded some thank you gift tags from the liagriffith.com blog, (I have previously mentioned her, she’s an ultimate legend) and cut them out.
These sort of tags are usually tied to a present, so I thought I’d change things up a bit and hang them inside the card, so when the reader opens it, they’d get the shock of their life… Not really!
So I used some of my favourite coloured parcel string to tie them around and tied a knot to hold them in place. I made sure the knot was on the front of the card and then covered it with a crafty embellishment!
Oh so pretty 🙂
These are adorable! What a great, simple idea. I’m getting married this June and this would be such a fun addition to add to our invites. Thanks for sharing your cute cards.
Aw that’s a lovely idea! How exciting, congrats! Happy making!
