Eating in style

When you have a big party at home, unless your a family of 20, you never have enough plates and cutlery from your own kitchen cupboard. I mean why would you need to?! And I Hate with a capital H disposable plastic plates and cutlery, so for our upcoming birthday shenanigans, I looked into other options and have sort of compromised…. Plates made out of sugar cane which are quite sturdy in fact and wooden cutlery. Now I’m still not a massive fan of both, but its what you do with them that counts!

Last night I was decorating the cutlery. I bought packs of 18 pieces for £1 from dotcomgiftshop.com (which by the way is an amazing website with loads of vintage ideas).

Then I wrapped washi tape around the ends of each one. I will eventually tie each set up with parcel string and a napkin. Simple way to add a bit of love to your special event!
